Pharmacy Courses After 12th: A pharmacy course is a specialised academic program which gives you complete knowledge about Medicines, Healthcare, and drug formulation. Bachelor of pharmacy is an undergraduate 4-years degree program in pharmacy. The eligibility criteria for pharmacy courses is to complete 12th grade with 55% to 60% with science subjects. 

You can get admission on merit-based and Entrance Exams. Some universities conduct their own entrance exams, while some other universities give admission on the basis of national entrance exams like: NEET, GPAT etc. The average course fee ranges from INR 40,000 to INR 1 lakh per annum. While pursuing  this course students can gain complete understanding of various drugs, diseases and the effects of chemical compounds

Eligibility criteria for Pharmacy Courses After 12th 

To pursue pharmacy courses after 12th, candidates generally need to complete their 10+2 with science background, including Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as a core subjects. Many universities and colleges require minimum 50 to 60% marks in 12th grade,and they also conduct their own entrance exams for admission, while some other colleges consider scores from national or state-level exams such as; NEET-UG,CUET etc. Most of the institutions do not require NEET for pharmacy courses like B.Pharm

Types of Pharmacy Courses After 12th 

There are many pharmacy courses available after 12th grade, which include Undergraduate,diploma and certificate courses. Some of the courses mentioned below. 

Bachelor of Pharmacy(B.pharm): It's a 4-year undergraduate program, where students are preparing for a career in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare sector, academia and research. The eligibility criteria for this course is students must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% with PCB/PCM

B.Pharm (Hons.): It’s an advanced program. This course offers in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of pharmacy. Duration of this course is 4-years, which requires 12th grade with PCB with 50%  aggregate

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm): It is a 2 year course, this course provides foundational knowledge and practical skills in drug formulation and healthcare system. It generally requires 10+2 in science stream with PCB or PCM. Admission for this program is mainly based on 12th scores or entrance exams such as: NEET, CET, CUET etc. 

B.Pharm (Pharmaceutics Chemistry): This is a 4-year undergraduate program that prepares students for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, manufacturing and the principles behind medicinal products.

The fee structure for pharmacy courses after 12th totally depends on the type of program and the institution. But, typically ranges from INR 50,000 to INR 2 lakhs per year for Bachelor of pharmacy courses. For Diploma in Pharmacy courses it might be cheaper, ranging from INR 20,000 to INR 1 lakh per year.
